The Vikings (theatre production)

On Wednesday 24th of February 2016, a theatre group called Groundlings visited Year 5 to teach us some acting skills and more about the Vikings. To begin with, the two people (Jim and Suze) did a play related to the Vikings.

Following the play, the two explained what the plan of the day and eventually it was break. After that, as usual, there was an exercise. Now, personally, I think that the exercise was amusing since it was called the 'rubber chicken'. Continuing on, we had already learnt the seven stages of tension, but this time we have learnt the different levels of energy. They include: 'sleeping lions', 'bambi on ice', 'where are my keys', 'the bus is coming in 5 minutes', 'normal' and 'mum and dad are coming'.

Then we had to practise using them with a partner. Surprisingly, Jim and Suze had to eat at 11:30, so we had to go back to class. Soon, it was lunchtime. Following that, we had time to practise more. After 1 hour, we, in groups, acted our own plays about Vikings.

The whole day was great fun!!!
