My time with the chicks
Yesterday afternoon my class and I went for a visit to year R to see the baby chicks. They were so cute! It was amazing. Luckily, we came at the right time so then we could see a chick (she was a girl) who was hatching right in front of our eyes. I didn’t expect to see new life. It looked as if it was hard work for the chick to escape from the hard egg.I thought this because as its little hand/leg came out from the egg from my point of view it had a little rest in between. As the other new born chicks rolled around the still hatching chick got back to work. Unfortunately, it was soon home time for our class so we had to leave in a hurry. We had such a splendid time, I would love to see the chicks again. I hope all 10 chicks will hatch. I repeat I would LOVE to see those chicks again.
My time with the chicks
My time with the chicks was really cool because all the chicks were funny and cute. As the eggs opened, I felt a special, happy glow in myself, for we were experiencing live new life. WONDERFUL! Luckily, we saw a chick hatching and I must say, it must have been extremely hard work, for the chick kept trying to take the cracked egg off its back. Some of my classmates thought the egg on the chick's back was a protective backpack. The chicks that had already hatched, were having a fight and they kept falling over. I would love to see the chicks again!

KES IT Club
Every Thursday, starting from 11th January, 14 students from Year 6 attend the after-school IT Club run by King Edwards. This is a great privilege as these children were especially chosen due to their advanced IT skills.
A quote from two students attending the club: “We love the IT club! It is a really enjoyable experience and we feel very lucky to have been chosen.”
We would like to thank King Edwards for providing us all with this opportunity.

Year 5 at Mass
On Friday the 5th of January Yrs 3,4,5 ( Key stage 2 ) took part in a religious mass lead by Father Anthony.
The mass was to celebrate the arrival of the three Kings about twelve days after Christmas 🎄. This event is called the Epiphany or a sudden realisation.
William said, "I enjoyed the singing and the soloists were great ".
Harriet said, " It was very nice and we learned a lot about the Epiphany. I know that now most pupils
know what Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh symbolise”.
Kenneth said, “ I enjoyed it and it was very religious”.
